24. maijā Siguldā notika pirmais no diviem šogad plānotajiem starptautiskajiem ielu futbola turnīriem, kas apvieno Latvijas un Igaunijas jauniešus kopīgās sportiskās aktivitātēs un draudzīgā gaisotnē. Turnīrs norisinājās EST-LAT Interreg projekta "Play Forward: Football for Social Sustainability" ietvaros.

Pēc sešiem kopīgiem darbnīcu cikliem, kuros abu valstu pārstāvji dalījās pieredzē un stiprināja savstarpējo sadarbību, Siguldā notikušajā turnīrā pulcējās vairāk nekā 80 dalībnieku no Latvijas un Igaunijas, lai pārbaudītu savas prasmes 3 pret 3 ielu futbola spēlēs.
Lai gan dienu pavadīja lietus, tas nespēja mazināt sportisko garu – spēlētāji ar degsmi un prieku iesaistījās turnīrā, baudot gan futbolu, gan iespēju satikt jaunus draugus un sadarboties starptautiskā vidē. Pasākums apliecināja futbola spēju apvienot cilvēkus, stiprināt kopienas un veicināt sociālo iekļaušanu.
Starptautiskais turnīra diena Haapsalu ir daļa no EST-LAT Interreg projekta "Play Forward".
